Karl Lee Brack, 84, died Dec. 7, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 29, 1930, in Larned, he was the son of Sol M. and Neva M. (Toots) Brack. He was a 1948 graduate of Great Bend High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kansas State University in 1953. On Sept. 28, 1958, he married Loreta J. "Reta" Hill in Hoisington. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, Mr. Brack began work at KCKT-TV as a sales representative until February 1956, when he started work for American State Bank and Bank IV, retiring in 1991 after more than 35 years of service.
Mr. Brack was a United States Army veteran, serving in Korea and Japan. He attended First Christian Church in Great Bend. He was a member of A. F. & A. M. Lodge #15, American Legion Argonne Post 180, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3111, B. P. O. Elks Lodge #1127, DAV, and Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, all of Great Bend. He was a life member of the Kansas State University Alumni Association, served more than 26 years on the Great Bend Housing Authority, was charter director of the Center for Counseling, and was past City of Great Bend treasurer.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, C. M. Brack and infant Jack Brack.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Great Bend with the Rev. Joshua Leu officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery with military rites by the Fort Riley Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church, Kans for Kids or Barton County Historical Society, in care of the funeral home
