PERSHING --- Marjorie Kay Newhouse, 80, passed away Sunday evening November 28, 2021 at Majestic Care of Connersville, Indiana. A daughter of the late Leland and Lela Mae (Osting) VanOsdol, Kay was born in Rushville, Indiana on November 3, 1941.
She grew up in Rush County and graduated from Arlington High School in 1959. Kay married the love of her life, Roy Newhouse, on December 10, 1961 at the Arlington Christian Church. They started their life together in Cambridge City and had lived in Pershing since 1971. Kay provided home daycare for many years and was a member of the Cambridge City Christian Church. She enjoyed collecting angels, Elvis memorabilia and Precious Moments figurines.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 60 years, Roy Lee Newhouse; 4 daughters, Michele (Todd) Gabbard, Tina (Jon) Barnes, Marla (Aaron) Hoover and Carla (Jason) Strong; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Following cremation, burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
