On January 30, 2021, Helen Tate Ramsay, beloved aunt and friend, passed away at age 95. Helen was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado, the youngest child of Rev. A.C. and Olivia Ramsay. Near the end of WWII, Helen began a 42-year nursing career at Denver's Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in the last class of Cadet Nurse Corps students. After pursuing advanced studies at the University of Denver, Helen began teaching obstetrics to nursing students. She later worked in a medical practice in Denver and finished her career as a charge nurse at Spalding Rehab.

Helen and her sister, Frances, became world travelers, visiting each of the seven continents. Walking with penguins in Antarctica was an adventure she loved to share with her many friends. Helen's infectious smile and sunny disposition meant she made friends wherever she went. Famous for her comical T-shirts, Helen loved to make people laugh. She enjoyed singing in the choir, was a word puzzle enthusiast and voracious reader…and a lover of all animals. An African safari was one of her favorite excursions.

Preceded in death by her parents and her 4 siblings, a niece and a nephew, Helen is survived by her beloved cat, Esther, one niece and 3 nephews and their children and grandchildren. Helen was a role model for living well…from traveling the globe to tubing at the lake at age 75, to hiking Hawaiian waterfalls in her 80's, she knew how to enjoy life. She was a special lady and will be greatly missed.
