Corky is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Casey and Carl Trout, Jr. Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer (Joseph) and Sara Katherine; brother, Tom; grandchildren, Alexandra, Kaitlyn, Ayo, and Jonas. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta at Iowa State University of Journalism. A memorial service will be held in Hopkins, Minnesota, at a later date.
