"John J. Diibon, 76, of 2610 Nicholson, died Saturday at the North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. He was born in Kansas City and was a lifelong area resident. He was a flour packer for General Mills 30 years before he retired in 1969. He was a member of the Garland Avenue United Methodist Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Gladys Diibon of the home; two sons, John Diibon of Lathrop, Mo., and Dennis Diibon of Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Allin of Kansas City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Newcomer's White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens." The Kansas City Star, July 19, 1981
