LAST RITES FOR WILLIAM E. GLINES HELD IN NEOLA

Funeral services for William Ernest Glines, 65, Neola, who died Saturday in a Salt Lake hospital after a 15 month illness, were conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Neola Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, under the direction of Bishop Lazelle Henry.

Invocation was offered by Richard Olsen and benediction was pronounced by Dan Mitchell. The speakers were Harold Dillman, B. O. Colton of Roosevelt, Neil Jensen and William K. Dye of Neola. Vocal solos were given by Mary Ellen Gardiner, singing "Stranger of Galilee" and Ferris Henry singing "Perfect Day." A male quartet sang "I Need Thee Every Hour" and a mixed quartet presented "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

Following the dedication of the grave by Blaine Lee interment was in the Maeser Cemetery under the direction of the Dillman Funeral Home of Roosevelt. Pallbearers were Roland Flines, Lyle Glines, Darrell Glines, Glenn Davis, Richard Hamer and Lloyd Davis.

A son of Charles Harvey and Melva Bassett Glines, William Ernest was born July 22, 1881 in Vernal (Maeser). He married Addie McGuire January 14, 1906 in Vernal and two years later bought a ranch in Neola which he operated until his illness last July. At the time he gave up farming and moved to Salt Lake City where he resided until his death.

For eighteen and a half years prior to his final illness Mr. Glines served as deputy water commissioner to B. O. Colton on Whirerocks and Uintah Rivers.

Besides his widow, Mr. Glines is survived by 3 sons and two daughters: Roland C. Glines, Salt Lake City; Lyle W. Glines, Vernal; Darrell E. Glines, Layton; Mrs. Lola Davis, Neola; and Mrs. Frona Hamer, Ogden; a brother, Rex Glines, Washington State; three sisters, Mrs. Lea Moffett and Mrs. Dot Bender, Ogden and Mrs. Lois Young, Los Angeles.
