Gerald was born in Globe, Arizona on September 26th, 1943 to Mabel and Mack Armsworthy. He proudly entered the U.S Navy on April 13th, 1962.
Gerald was married to Mary Lynn Messenger on December 23rd, 1966 on a cold, snowy, winter evening. They were happily married for 55 years, and Lynn was always the apple of his eye. Gerald always put Lynn before himself, and set a high expectation of what a husband should look like.
Gerald worked as a maintenance supervisor for Garland ISD for over 25 years.
He enjoyed watching westerns and gardening, however his family was always his first priority. He was a loving husband and father, doting grandfather, and showed us all the true meaning of love. He led by example, and loved without condition, even when we didn't deserve it.
Gerald is survived by his beloved wife Lynn, his daughter Erica, son Aaron, granddaughters Candace, Hailey, and Riley. His great grandchildren Kyden, River, Lilly, Dallas, and Milana. His brother James and wife Diane and nephew Jared.
Gerald was preceded in death by his father Mack, mother Mabel, his sister Kim, and brother Larry Don.
