CHEROKEE CITY -- Larry Jean Davis, 61, of Cherokee City died Dec. 13, 2007, at his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1946, in Fayetteville to Murel E. and Amo Harris Davis. He grew up and attended school in Wichita, Kan. He was a former employee in the aircraft industry and lived in Cherokee City since 2003. He was a member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Wichita.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia D. Johnson Davis of the home, to whom he was married Sept. 18, 1981; four sons, Keith Davis and Joshua Davis, both of Wichita, Steven Davis of Hot Springs and Dan Davis of the home; three daughters, Gail Davis of Caldwell, Texas, Novie Davis of Siloam Springs and Charity Shirley and husband Gean of Fort Hood, Texas; two brothers, Bill R Davis of Wichita and Ron Davis of Edmond, Okla.; two sisters, Carol A. Davis of Cherokee City and Nancy Uhrich of Wichita; six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Brashears Funeral Home with Steve Paden officiating. Burial will be in Colbaugh Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dan Davis, Steven Davis, Joshua Davis, Keith Davis, Bill R. Davis, Ron Davis, Lance Davis, Richard Uhrich and Jay Uhrich.
