Alicia Angelina "Alice" (Lucero) Gomez passed away peacefully at the age of 96, on November 18, 2021, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was born in Los Luceros, New Mexico, and lived in the Victorian Cottage, which was built by her father in 1902. In 2019, Los Luceros became a State Historic Site.

She was married to her beloved husband for 55 years. Frank Ray Gomez, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Strong family bonds were forged at Christmas each and every year; and at the El Valle Escondido Cabin, where family gatherings were frequent and golf, hiking, fishing and playing cards along with big family dinners and chatter, created wonderful memories and a union for all. Alice and Frank were happiest when surrounded by their beloved family.

She is survived by a large, beautiful family that was her true source of joy and happiness. Her four children: Susan (Gomez) Varela, Steve G. Gomez, Francie A. Miles (husband Jeff), and Carla A. Gomez; 10 grandchildren: Sharon Williard, Philip Varela, Pablo, Zach, and Max Gomez, Jonathan and Cristina Hegranes, Manolo, Raul, and Teresa Victor; and 16 great-grandchildren.
