Alice Baca Baxter, 77, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 2,2021 at her home with her loved ones at her side. Alice was born on December 24, 1943 in Socorro New Mexico to Ed H. and Josie Baca.

Alice worked for over 50 years in the legal system. She retired from the 12th Judicial District Court and later went to work for the Doughty Law Firm where she also retired. In addition to dedication to her work, she enjoyed helping within her community as a member of the Tularosa Basin Historical Society. Her love of reading gave her a great deal of knowledge and she became a volunteer at the Tularosa Basin Museum of History.

As a devout Christian, Alice was a dedicated member of many churches and provided support in many ways to each congregation for which she was a part. Alice loved being a member of Mountain View Assembly of God Church. She was a true people person.

Survivors include, three sons, Delbert (Heather) Baxter, Eddie (Teresa) Baxter, Brandin (Janet) Baxter; brother, Harold (Marty) Baca; sister, Bertha Blair; grandchildren, Brittany (Brian) Seyler, Benjamin Cunningham, Izzy Baxter, Cameron (Heather) McCloud, Carlee Baxter, Alice Ann Baxter, and Hopie Baxter; great grandchildren, Holly Seyler, June Seyler, Paityn Edwards, Damari Edwards, and Harper McCloud and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice was blessed with countless friends whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ed H. Baca; her mother, Josie Baca; sister, Trophy Baca; brothers, Roland Baca and Ernie Baca; brothers-in-law, Herb Baxter and Tom Blair; and nephew Dwayne Padilla.

A memorial service will be held on Friday June 11, 2021 at Mountain View Assembly of God Church, 1300 Cuba Avenue, Alamogordo NM at 11:00 am with Pastor Anthony Torres officiating.

Graveside services will be held at a later date with family.
