Created this memorial to connect Darwin with his family. There's no record of Darwin in any census after 1850 nor a death record and there may not be a headstone. Assuming he died with or shortly after his wife's passing. His wife was living with him and his parents in the 1850 Census conducted in November in LaSalle, Illinois and Mary has been mistaken for John & Charlotte's daughter because she was also born in New York. John & Charlotte Hobbs only had two children, Darwin & Alfred.
Darwin and Mary's three children were recorded living with grandparents John & Charlotte Hobbs in the 1860 and 1870 Census in Serena, LaSalle County, Illinois.
