On December 8, 1966 he married the former Mary L. Page (Zeigler) who survives at home. Also surviving are his children, Cindy Casher (Patrick) of Clarence, Tammy Zeigler of Bellefonte, and Karen Basalla (William) also of Clarence; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Zeigler and his sister, Bonnie Croyle.
Dick was a meat cutter for Weis Markets before his retirement. Dick was a member of the Milesburg Baptist Church. Dick was very creative, he built his own motor home out of an old bread truck and tow camper. He loved holiday meals with family, attending the Grange Fair, his pets, and being around people.
Dick's wife would like to thank family, friends and neighbors for all the help and support they provided during his long battle with MS. She would also like to thank Pastor Jeff and Lori and the staff at Centre Care for their care and support this past year.
Family and friends will be received on Monday November 29, 2021, from 1 PM – 2 PM at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring St., Milesburg with the funeral service to follow at 2 PM with Pastor B. Jeffrey Trawinski, officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Twp., Centre Co.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Milesburg Baptist Church, P. O. Box 821, Milesburg, PA 16853.
