James Conley Rites Monday
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Home for Funerals in Norfolk for James O. Conley, 88, 922 Logan Ave., Norfolk, who died Friday at a Norfolk hospital.
Duane King will officiate. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
The body will be in state from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Home for Funerals.
He was born June 19, 1879, in Pottawatamie County, Iowa, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Conley. He had lived in Nebraska 75 years, moving to Wayne with his parents.
He married the former Jennie Johnson of Winside at Wayne, Feb 17, 1909. They lived on a farm west of Winside for 36 years before retiring and moving to Norfolk in 1954. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1959.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Dora Roberts of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs. Hau of Cherokee, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers, and two sisters.
