Dorothy "Dot" Wilson Burross passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

She was born Dorothy Ann Adcock on January 5, 1939 to Edith Miles Adcock and Herman W. Adcock in Sutherland Springs, Texas. Dot lived most of her adult life in Fort Worth. She met and married the love of her life, Marvin O. Burross in 1984. The two moved to Azle in 1989 where she lived until she went to be with her sweet Lord.

She was a woman of strong faith and her relationship with her Lord and Savior was very important to her. Dot attended Lake Worth Assembly of God for 17 years. After moving to Azle she and Marvin attended Outreach of Love Church for 13 years. She became a charter member of Cornerstone Community Church of Springtown, to which she loved. Dot maintained the church flowers beds because she loved to be outdoors until her health wouldn't allow it.

She was the matriarch of the family and an example of strength of love. Her family and friends will cherish the lessons and love they have received throughout the years. Dot was a feisty firecracker who will be missed greatly but the woman of the family will honor her by carrying on her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Marvin; her parents; 2 brothers; and 4 sisters.

Graveside Service: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Jaybird Cemetery.
