RUTH'S OBITUARY
Ruth "Kempfer" Beale- 56

Ruth "Kempfer" Beale was surrounded by her daughters as she was called home on November 17, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

Ruth was born December 6, 1964, at St Mary's Hospital to Tom Kempfer and Bernice Pond. She was a member of the Lake Mills High School Class of 1983 where she was the proud lead organizer of their class reunions.

Ruth began her life journey in Madison and later moved to Lake Mills with her father Tom and her sister. Here, she created lifelong friendships. When Ruth was 15 she met Robert, but we'll say "Bob". They later married in 1983, settling down in the Madison area to raise their family. In 1995, Bob and Ruth moved their family back to her hometown of Lake Mills where she remained to fertilize the growth of her children.

Ruth was a proud employee of The Alexander Company in Madison. She would rock out to her music while putting in hours she enjoyed working, just to make sure things went smoothly. She was dedicated to anything she did, especially her job.

Ruth was a collector of things, most notably carousel horses. She enjoyed receiving shot glasses and magnets from those who travelled. She passionately collected music, in and outside her soul. Each year, from 1983 on, she gathered an assortment of ornaments for her Christmas tree. She also collected options of Dansko shoes, to dress with any outfit.

To Ruth, food brought everyone together; the company was optional. For a decade, the second weekend in August was always booked at "Beale's Fun House"; when the Annual BBQ Beale Bash would take place. As her family grew, she traditionally gathered them to eat at the table.

Ruth was known by many for her humble character. She treasured crocheting hats and mittens for kids with the "Head Banging Hookers". If you were family or a friend, your baby got a blanket uniquely designed to you. On holidays she announced her menu then opened her door to anyone needing a meal. If you needed a shower, or to sleep it off, the bathroom was open with blankets to keep you warm. She welcomed in the less fortunate, helping a woman before a man.

Ruth taught hard lessons, but also gentle ones. She vivaciously encouraged everyone she loved to be their own advocate. Her true self made her easy to love but her shell was tough as nails. Her presence, always known; even when she didn't speak. Holding her own, she made it her mission to live life on her terms; having taught her daughters to do the same. Her resilience was insurmountable. Her strength indestructible.

Ruth is survived by her husband Bob Beale, of 38 years. Her daughters Rachel Newhouse, Rhiannon (Ben) Stivarius and Bobbi Joyce Hockett. Son in Law Dennis Hockett Jr. Grandchildren Emily, Gavin, Logan, Amanda, Teagen, Annabelle, Madilyn, Zachary, and Dennis III. Closest cousin and friends, Don, and Tricia Strait. She is also survived by her special bonus moms Cheyl Kempfer and Gail Larson, siblings; Michelle Johnson, David Pond III, Shannon Pond, Tommy (Theresa) Kempfer, Tricia (Nick) Stramel and Theresa (Brandon) Schroeder; several nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her father Tom Kempfer. Paternal Grandparents Donald and Ruth Aide, Niece Tiffani Johnson, and son in law Izaak Newhouse.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021, 11am to 3pm at Pyramid Event Venue, 117 S. Main St, Lake Mills, WI 53551. In Ruth's honor, the family would like to invite you to extend your afternoon and enjoy live music at the venue following.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the holiday charities throughout Jefferson County, The Salvation Army and St Vincent De Paul to assist in the needs of our neighbors during this Christmas Season.
