He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Jack Holliday and Elsie Holliday Salkeld (McClintock); and his brother Larry Holliday.
Randy L. Holliday, 79, Fort Hill, passed away November 16, 2021 at West Virginia University Medical Center, Morgantown, WV.
He was born June 6, 1942 in Confluence, a son of Arthur Jack Holliday and Elsie (McClintock) Holliday Salkeld.
His parents, wife Mary (Fazenbaker) Phillippi Sutton, son Scott Phillippi, sisters Hilda Callen, Shirley Hand, and brothers Noman, Dexter, and Larry Holliday preceded him in death.
He was a member or former member of the following organizations in which he held numerous offices: Confluence Borough Council, TVAHS School Board, Tableland, Somerset Vo. Tech Board, Elk County Easter Seals Society, Trinity Lutheran Church Trustee, life member of Confluence V.F.W. Post # 7250 (1978 Dedication Award), Rockwood American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 973 Somerset, 25 year member of Lions Club International, F&AM Meyersdale Lodge #554, Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge # 1801 Somerset, PA Federation of Sportsmen, Confluence Volunteer Fire Department, Rockwood Volunteer Fire Department, Somerset and Fayette County Postmasters Associations, Confluence Scout Master for 22 years, Confluence Area Ball League President and Coach, American Red Cross Apheresis Donor (79 gallon award). Randy was one of the most selfless and generous men ever.
He adored his grandchildren and spent many years at their soccer and basketball games, track meets, recitals, school activities, and anything that was important to them.
He loved taking Harper Jane to feed the neighbors' horses, pick berries, work in the garden, and go for walks. At 79 years old, he still worked full time at Seven Springs and mowed the lawn with a push mower. He loved his little Bichons.
His kind and compassionate heart will be truly missed. A service with military honors will be held in the spring in Jersey Cemetery, where he will finally join the love of his life, Mary.
