Lois Moore Roberson

Weaverville - Lois Moore Roberson, 83, of Monticello Road, Weaverville, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville.

Born May 4, 1923, in Brevard, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Bessie Allison Moore. Mrs. Roberson was a retired school teacher for Weaverville Grammar School. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Weaverville. Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by her husband, Howard B. Roberson; son-in-law, Ronnie Hathcock; and sister, Frankie Wagoner.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy R. Burleson and husband, Roger of Palm City, Fla., and Gayle R. Hathcock of Mooresville; sister, Euna Leigh Cantrell of Brevard; brother, Farrell Moore, of Brevard; and grandchildren, David R. Burleson and Kimberly G. Hathcock.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Weaverville, with Dr. Jim McCoy and the Rev. Mary Caldwell officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will will take place in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville.
