Vivian "Bill" Keener Moore

Hot Springs – Vivian Virginia Silver Bill Keener Moore, 92, formerly of Hwy. 209, died Sunday June 25, 2006, at the Brian Center in Weaverville after an extended illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, she was a lifelong member and former Sunday School teacher at Liberty Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late John and Mary Darnell Silver, and the wife of the late Thomas Leo Keener and the late Charles S. Moore.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.

Surviving are her daughters, Rose Kuykendall and husband, Perry, of Asheville and Beverly Caldwell and husband, Reuben of Asheville; son, Thomas Keener and wife, Kathy, of Leicester; granddaughters, Cathy Coomer, Cindi Brackins and Carla Caldwell; grandsons, Scott and Shawn Keener; nine great-grandchildren and two great greatgrandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Dr. Leroy Denton, Dr. Allen Raines and David Plemmons officiating.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
