Dr. Kenneth L. Evans, husband, father, and accomplished family physician, left for the next life on November 16, 2021. Dr. Evans was born on September 23, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Greenville, Oklahoma, and graduated from Greenville High School in 1960. He met his wife, Ruth Ann Bensch, the summer of 1961 and they married June 2, 1962. They had a full and loving marriage for almost 60 years. He attended Oklahoma State University and then the University of Oklahoma Medical School, graduating in 1967. He served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971, earning the Medal of Commendation among other achievements. He was a practicing physician from 1971 until his retirement in 2009. Over those 38 years he practiced in Kingfisher, OK, Shattuck, OK, and Oklahoma City, OK, Tully, Australia, and in several locations on temporary assignments to help where help was needed. He also taught others in medical residency programs in Wichita, KS, Oklahoma City, OK, and Lawton, OK. He served as the President of the Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians and was Vice President and Chairman of the Board of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He loved fly fishing and spending time in the mountains of Colorado. He passed in Spring, Texas, surrounded by his family.

Kenneth was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin; his parents, Ralph & Helen Evans; a brother, Donnie; a sister, Linda; and an infant brother.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann; children, Jason & wife Jacqueline of Brasilia, Brazil; Justin & wife Julie of Spring, TX; Jami & husband Tommy Warner of Aledo, TX; 7 grandchildren; brother, Benny of Sierra Vista, AZ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at 10:30a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, in the Greenville Cemetery in Greenville, Oklahoma with Kenneth's nephew Gary Evans officiating. Honorary casket bearers are Jason Evans, Justin Evans, Morgan Evans, Owen Evans, Gabriel Evans, Tommy Warner, and Trey Warner. The family asks that donations in Kenneth's name be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
