Vincent Edward Acklin, 56, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was born November 6, 1965 in Conway, Arkansas to Frances Acklin.
Vincent accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in Seaside, California while visiting his older sister, Martha. Vincent graduated from Conway High School in May of 1984 before attending the University of Dallas where he received his bachelor's and master's degrees. Vincent obtained a doctorate degree from the University of Houston. He utilized his education to work in various mental health organizations. He worked at Mainstream Independent Living Center as an Advocate Trainer II for Twenty-three years.
Vincent met the love of his life, Regina Edwards in June of 1987. They were married on May 1, 1992 and had two children. Vincent loved to be on his computer, talking to his siblings and spending time with his granddaughters. He was dearly loved for his sense of humor and unique personality.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Acklin; brothers, Dewillis Lasker, Wilton Lewis Lasker, William Earl Lasker, Johnny Phillip Lasker, Ceodis Lasker, and Clarence Acklin; and sister, Rose Bentley.
Survivors: wife, Regina; daughter, Whitney; son, Brandon; grandchildren, Callie and Niveya all of Conway, AR; brothers, James Lasker of Conway, AR, Marcus Acklin (Deinise) of Houston, TX, Genevie Acklin (Judith), Robert Wright (Alice), Mark Wright (Denae), Fletcher Wright all of Conway, AR; sisters, Martha Wilson of Conway, AR, Mona Agee Marshall of Conway, AR, Verla Williams (Lee) of El Dorado, AR and Vernell Wright (Lee) of Conway, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Walk through visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Veasley Funeral Home. Celebration of life graveside service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Robinson Cemetery, 1198 Lincoln St., Conway, Arkansas.
