Anne Eleanor Skinner, 87, formerly of 502 E. Harrison, died at 10:10 Tuesday night August 26, 1980 in the Adair County Nursing Home where she had been a patient since June 28, 1978.
Born July 24, 1893 in Wayne County, Iowa, she was the daughter of John C. and Martha Porter Foreman. On Jan. 1, 1914 in Wayne County, Iowa she was married to Henry Elmer Skinner who preceded her in death on October 2, 1963. Also preceding her in death were five brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Meredith (Eunice) Hall of Dayton, Ohio and Edith Skinner also of Dayton; three sons, Leonard Skinner of Dayton, Ohio, Rodney Skinner of 802 N. Franklin and Roy Skinner of Salem, Ore; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In 1920 Mr. and Mrs. Skinner moved to a farm near Brashear where they resided until moving to Kirksville in 1958.
Mrs. Skinner was a member of the First Baptist Church and had served as Sunday School teacher for several years.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon August 29, 1980 at 2 o'clock in the chapel of the Davis Funeral Home. Dr. Kenton Webb, pastor of the First Baptist Church will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery.
Bearers will be Cecil Rudd, Duane Cole, Lloyd Christman, Pete Nicoletti, Glen Novinger, Sr., and Loren Owings
