Lavelle was born in rural Morgan County near Hartselle on July 2, 1927, to Hattie Lott Armstrong and June C. Armstrong, and was a recent resident of the Falkville Health Care Facility.
She is survived by her two sons, Terry and Norman Gilbert; four granddaughters, Barbara, Kelly, Angie and Tyler Gilbert; and a greatgrandson, Adam Gilbert.
