Jimmy Dale Fly Sr, age 66, passed away Thursday evening November 11, 2021, at Baptist North MS in Oxford. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 14, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Newsom Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, beginning 2:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Newsom Funeral Home, Charleston, MS. Interment will follow at Goshen Cemetery Coffeeville, MS.
Jimmy Dale was a longtime member of Bear Lake Hunting Club, former owner of Napa Auto Parts in Charleston, Scout Master of Troop 3, retired from MDOT after sixteen years, great loving father, grandfather, and a very hard-working man.
Those whom he leaves behind to remember and carry on his legacy include his son, Jimmy Fly (Mary) of Charleston, MS; grandson, Denman Fly of Charleston, MS; sister, Francine Glass (William) of Charleston, MS and brother, John William Fly of Grenada, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Fly Sr & Minnie Calder Fly, one sister, Barbara Fike, and four brothers, Joe A. Jr, Marion, Bob, and Keith Fly.
