Karen L. Acosta, 77, of Bettendorf, IA passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at her home.

Entombment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL.

Karen was born May 3, 1944, in Moline, IL, the daughter of William E. and Isabelle L. (Gevock) Callaway. She married Jose G. Acosta-Olmeda, MD on November 20, 1970, in Moline. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2011.

Karen was a life long Quad Citian. Karen enjoyed quilting, travel, the performing arts, and fine wines. She enjoyed decorating, cooking, shopping, and gift giving. Karen surrounded herself with a kind and caring network of friends and family.

Survivors include her children, Julianne (Christopher) Rodriguez, Littleton, CO, Jennifer (Cecil Clarke) Anderson, Honolulu, HI; 5 Stepchildren, Francis (Karen) Acosta, Portland, OR, Jose Acosta, Seoul, S. Korea, Maria (Randy) Mitchell, Port Byron, Monica Acosta, Colorado Springs, CO and Anita Acosta, Broomfield, CO; 2 grandchildren 8 step grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; sister, Donna (Robert) Burrack, Parker, CO and brother, William (Karen) Callaway, Springfield, IL.
