Mrs. Phyllis Cagle Swords, age 63, of Lyerly, GA, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. Swords was born February 10, 1958, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Glenn Randolph and Margaret Lou Fletcher Cagle. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Mohawk Industries. Her family, friends, and God were her main priorities in life. She was also an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Cagle who was killed in action in Vietnam; grandmother, Foy Timmerman; and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Swords; son, Jason Green (Cheryl Carrol); daughter, Amanda (Chris) Wooten; step-sons, Nikolas Swords, Matthew Swords; step-daughter, Deborah (John) Forcier; sister, Pete Sprayberry; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 14, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fran Irmiter officiating. Interment will follow in AMI Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be John Forcier, Matthew Swords, Chris Wooten, Joseph Swords, Justin Swords.

Mrs. Swords will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Sunday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
