Born on October 16, 1972 in Jacksonville, Florida, Tammy Renee Maldonado was the only daughter of James Sherrod Middleton and his wife Bertie Mae Rozier. After a hard, month-long battle with COVID, Tammy passed away in Ogden, Utah on Thursday November 11, 2021 with her devoted husband Felipe by her side.

In 1978 the family moved from Florida to Milledgeville, Georgia where Tammy grew up and attended Baldwin County High School.

In 1997 Tammy moved to Ogden, Utah, and in 2003 she married Felipe Maldonado. They had no children together, but they both loved a chihuahua named Daisy (the miracle dog).

Tammy worked a number of jobs over the years, but her final and most prestigious position was wife and homemaker, and it was this role in which she really excelled. Her interests were many and varied, with a love of writing being her fondest joy.

Mrs Maldonado is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Felipe Maldonado, her cousin and best friend Derek Lane, and her Uncle Tony Middleton, as well as a multitude of cousins and devoted friends whose hearts are equally broken over her passing. With the passing of her dear friend Christine Heather Miller in 2011, Tammy adopted that entire family as her second family (and they adopted her), including Heather's mother Pat Miller, Heather's son Nic McCutchan, Nic's wife Alaska, and their five year-old son Ezra.

There was a loud and joyous reunion in heaven yesterday morning upon Tammy's arrival on those golden shores, where she was welcomed by Jesus, her mother and father, her brother Frank Middleton, and a host of other loved ones who've gone on before. She would not have us who remain behind to grieve her loss as others who have no hope, and comfort can be found in the words of Job 19: 25 - 26:

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God."

Our sweet Tammy now sits at the feet of Almighty God where the light of His face will shine upon her forever, but her earthly remains will be laid to rest beside her Daddy in Swainsboro Georgia City Cemetery. In Ogden, Utah there will be a memorial service on November 22, 2021 at 6pm at Redemption Church, 585 39th Street. There will be a private gathering on November 24, 2021 for her interment in the Sherrod Family Plot in Swainsboro Georgia.
