Orville Joseph Grigsby (October 25, 1947 – February 24, 2016)
Orville J. Grigsby, 68, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born October 25, 1947, in Evansville, IN, to the late Lloyd Vernon and Maggie Mae (Wardrip) Grigsby.
He worked for Swanson Nunn Electric and was also a truck driver. He was a member of Local 561 Laborer's Union and Sons of American Legion.
Orville was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Axton; and brother, Rick Grigsby.
He is survived by his sons, Tony and Donnie Grigsby; daughters, Cheryl (Robert) Carner and Kristen Grigsby; grandchildren, Dylan, Holly, Adam, Elliott, Amanda, Heather, Jesse, Tristan, Elisha, Logan, Meagan and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Exline; brothers, Bradley and Darrell Grigsby; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Alexander West Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
