A lifelong Jamestown resident, she was born December 22, 1923, the daughter of Carl Oscar and Minnie Alveeda Swanson Anderson.
Following graduation from high school she earned a degree from Jamestown Business College.
For many years she was employed by National Fuel Gas as a customer service representative.
She was a member of Zion Covenant Church for 50 years where she participated in Cradle Roll, Dorcus Society, Ladies Late Bloomers, and Fellowship Guild, taught Sunday school, led Hi League, and helped Rev. Eldon Johnson and Rev. Michael White plan and run fellowship meetings. In addition, she was a member of the Lakewood Antique Study Club.
She considered her trips to the Holy Land and Egypt highlights of her life.
Surviving are two sons Joseph (Janet) Guinnane of Montgomery, IL, and Robert (Camille) Guinnane of Jamestown; seven grandchildren Katherine Guinnane of Chicago, IL, Kathleen (Brad Burkman) Guinnane of Arnaudville, LA, Christina Guinnane of Jamestown, Denise (John) Chrispell of Indiana, PA, Susan (Jon Schratz) Guinnane of Aurora, IL, Sean (Paige) Guinnane of Tonawanda, NY and Kelly Guinnane of Buffalo, NY and three great grandchildren Taylor and Roslyn Chrispell and Rigel Guinnane.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Guinnane, whom she married August 1, 1945, and who died June 29, 1953, and her son Timothy Guinnane who died January 7, 2015.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
