CENTRE - Services for Daniel Edward Estes, 87, of Centre will be Saturday at 1 pm t Perry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev Mack Chapman and the Rev George Cobb officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home where the body will be through services.

Mr Estes died Thursday at Baptist Medical Center-Cherokee.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs Winnie Davis Estes of Centre; a daughter, Mrs Florine Leath of Centre; three sons, Melvin Estes and Beamon Estes, both of Centre, and Glenn Estes of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be the men's Sunday school class of Centre First United Methodist Church.

Mr Estes was a Cherokee County native and a member of the Centre First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or the Centre First United Methodist Church.
