Bettie Frazier Till, 86, of Jackson passed away on November 3, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Parkway Funeral Home with interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Brister Ware will officiate. The family will be accepting friends on Saturday from 1 PM until time of service.
Bettie was born in Belzoni, MS to Hallie Millwood and James Wesley Frazier. She graduated from Belzoni High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Belhaven College. She taught at Warren Central and Forest Hill High Schools and later, adult reading at Central High School in Jackson. Bettie married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Dr. Glen Kermit Till and they were married for 62 years. She and Kermit traveled the world and loved to dance. Her true passion was being involved with her children and grandchildren's lives. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church for 49 years. She was a member of The Eastover Sewing Club, The Sweet Tuesday Book Club, Medical Auxiliary, Revelers Club and many other civic clubs.
Remaining behind to cherish Bettie's memory is her husband, Dr. Glen Kermit Till; children Cynthia Till, Terri Till Clement (Bob), Glen Kermit Till, Jr., Andy Till (Lori); grandchildren, Christopher Berry, Nicholas Berry, Emily Clement, Rachel Clement, Trey Till, Kayla Till, and Riley Till.
