SOUTH BEND - Wallace W. Abee, a lifelong resident of South Bend, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, in his home at the age of 85. He was born January 29, 1922, in South Bend, the only child of Clarence and Thelma
E. (Park) Abee. He graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School and attended Technical School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and at Korea.

On September 6, 1947, in Mishawaka, he was united in marriage to Juanita J. Nye. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage until her passing on February 16, 2001.

Mr. Abee
retired in 1975 from Bendix Corp. following 35 years of employment as a tool designer. His daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Steve Weisser of Milford, IN, his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Linda Abee of Ball Ground, GA, four granddaughters, Jennifer Parsons, Melissa Armstrong,
Staci Weisser and Sara Weisser, survive him. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Connor and Koryn Parsons.

Private services for Mr. Abee will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Entombment will follow at Riverview Mausoleum.
