Likely father of Peter Alexander Britcher, Sr., 1827–1906.
∼This memorial has been created in this cemetery because Phillip was specifically mentioned in an article in the 19 Sep 1972 edition of Hanover's The Evening Sun newspaper. The article was a public notice provided by Saint Matthew Lutheran Church stating that all headstones still remaining in the cemetery behind the stone church would be removed because of their state of deterioration.
In 1952 Phillip's remains and stone had been moved to this section from his original gravesite to accommodate construction enlarging the Sunday school building.
