Sallie was born on January 6, 1944, in Cairo, MO, the daughter of Leonard Gale and Retha Mae (Hill) Frost. She was united in marriage to Robert "Bobby" Henry Red, Jr. on November 13, 1980, in Columbia, MO. Sallie worked as a seamstress for Everlast in Moberly, MO, for many years. She was a member of the Huntsville Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, traveling, playing cards, practical jokes, and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by two children, five great grandchildren, one sister, one brother, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Mark Gordy, and one sister Lena.
A graveside service was held Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
