He was born February 22, 1904, to Orin and Martha (Woody) Usher; and he married Constance (Good) in Alva, Oklahoma, on November 15, 1927. She survives at the home. He has been a resident of Sedan for the past thirty years where he was an electrician and owner of the Phillips 66 Service Station.
Survivors include one son, Leon, of Caney; two daughters, Evelyn Crawford of Peru and Wanda White of Sedan; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Frazier of Wichita, and Mrs. Geneva Goode and Mrs. Ocie Lee Gentry, both of Neodesha; one brother Arthur of Bentonville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
