Lela M. Broadnax Dausuel, 93, formerly of Economy, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in West Hills Health Care.

Born Aug. 9, 1914, in Mobile, Ala., a daughter of the late David and Willie Wheetley, she was retired from the American Bridge Company and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Leetsdale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Dausuel, on Dec. 1, 1993.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Don and Shirley Broadnax, Sewickley, and Marvin Broadnax, Baltimore, Md.; two stepsons, Samuel O. Dausuel Jr. and William Dausuel, both of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Tina Martin, Chesterfield, Va.; Ronald Broadnax and Gregory Broadnax, both of Baltimore, Md.; Donna R. Spencer, Midland, and Donna Lee Carter, Pittsburgh, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Melvin Rippy will officiate.

Interment will be in Economy Cemetery.
