Lawrence came to Canada with his parents, arriving in Quebec City on 05/21/1822.
His parents headed west to Kingston, where Lawrence was set up with a Shoemaker, to be an apprentice.
His parents then headed west to Prince Edward County and settled in the Village of Wellington.
Lawrence followed them there 3 years later.
He married Lydia Garratt in Wellington about 1826.
At the time of their deaths, they were living on the family farm at Lot 1, Conc 1 Hillier Twp (jist outside Wellington on the Belleville Road.
While no headstone has been found, it is presumed that they are buried in the Wellington Village Cemetery.
