Joyce Mae Napier was born February 23, 1949, one of two children, to Sherman and Betty (Carpenter) Johnson, in Marshfield, Missouri, in Webster County. She departed this life, Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2021, at Glendale Garden's Nursing and Rehab in Springfield, Missouri, to be with the Lord and loved ones gone before her.
Joyce graduated from Seymour High School and was very active in school. She then went to beauty school and became a very good hair stylist.
On August 11, 1967, Joyce was united in marriage to Jim Napier, and to this union a daughter, Jolynn, and a son, Jammie, were born. Joyce and Jim had a dairy farm where she helped milk. She also worked many years as a bank teller. Joyce loved going to church and singing. Her passion was giving to others; it made her happy.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Jolynn Kay Napier, and her husband, Jim Napier.
She is survived by her son, Jammie Napier, and Misty, of Mansfield, Missouri, two grandchildren, Katelyn Lacy and her husband, Gary, of Hartville, Missouri, and Braxton of Mansfield, Missouri, one sibling, Herman Johnson and his wife, Susie, of Seymour, Missouri, several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She created fond and happy memories for family and friends to cherish and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
