Mr. Clausen retired from serving twenty years in the United States Army and twenty years in the Post Office. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by his family and friends but by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Clausen and Margaret Lunde; paternal grandparents Hans Clausen and Hans Lunde; maternal grandparents Kristen Lunde, Ceilia Clausen; his brother Donald Clausen. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years Mary H. Clausen; their children James N. Clausen and his wife Joelle and Dennis G. Clausen. Also, to treasure many memories are his grandchildren; Steven Clausen, Cyndi Clausen, Megan Johnson, Alex Clausen; his great-grandchildren Molly Johnson, Carla Johnson and extended family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 with Military Honors under the command of VFW Post#2035 in the Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Trevino Funeral Home and Cremations, 1355 Old Port Isabel Rd., Brownsville, Texas.
