Robert H. Huiting, 88, Green Bay, died on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Bob was born on May 28, 1933 in Little Chute, to the late Joseph and Marie (Bongers) Huiting. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School. Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict era. On June 18, 1955 at St. Mary's church in Manitowoc, he married the former Shirley Heim. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2006. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church. Bob was an electrician for the Paper Converting Machine Company, until he retired in 1995. Over the years, Bob and Shirley took care of about 100 foster children. He served as secretary and treasurer for the Fox Valley Celiac as well as his bowling league.

Bob is survived by his five children: Lisa (Kevin) Aschenbrenner, DePere, Robert J. (Trina) Huiting, Surprise, AZ, Steven (Patty) Huiting, Green Bay, Michael Huiting, Appleton, and Joseph (Crystal) Huiting, Green Bay; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Mary Gauthier, Oshkosh. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Shirley; two daughters: Annie and Cathy; one granddaughter: Gina; one sister: Elaine Nate; and two brothers-in-law: Al Linsmeier and Gene Gauthier.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at St. Agnes Catholic Parish, 1484 9th Street, Green Bay, with Rev. Patrick Beno, officiating. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the church from 11am until the time of service at 1pm.
