William Johnson Yaughn, 91, of Macon, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, October 22, 2021.

A graveside service to honor his life will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Reverend Lee Griffin officiating. The family will not have a formal time of visitation, instead a unstructured viewing without the family present, will be held at FairHaven Funeral Home on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 10:00-5:00 p.m.

Mr. Yaughn was born on February 4, 1930 in Crawford County, Georgia to the late Homer and Winnie Ola Yaughn.

He proudly served our country in the United States Army Air Corps. After his time in the service, he worked several jobs, but for the majority of his life, he was an Electrician by trade, starting his own business, My Electric.

In his free time, Mr. Yaughn loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Mr. Yaughn was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and loved to talk.

Together Mr. Yaughn, and his loving wife of 68 years built a wonderful life, raising three children. His pride and joy came from his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Yaughn was preceded in death by his parents as well as 6 sisters and 3 brothers.

Left to cherish his memory is his adoring family. His wife; Helen Yaughn. Daughters; Jackie Riley (David), Janice Lineberger (Earl), Julie Bridges (Jeff). Grandchildren; Patrick Riley (Katie), Alan Riley (Loreen), Victor Holmes (Stephanie), Jennifer Lawrence (Patrick), Caitlin Moore (Jacob), Connor Bridges and Dylan Bridges. Great Grandchildren; Maci Riley, Halle Riley, Irie Riley, Coleman Riley, Lucas Riley and Bailey Holmes. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be graciously accepted or donations may be made in Mr. Yaughn's honor to the donor's favorite charity.
