"Allen L. "Curly" Christman, 83, formerly of Palmerton, died Saturday, Dec. 28, in the Blough Nursing Home, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Louise M. (Nothstein) Christman. They were married 61 years in August.

He worked at the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, for 41 years before retiring in 1976.

Born in Kunkletown, he was a son of the late Raymond and Arsula (Kleintop) Christman.

He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Palmerton.

Christman was a member of the Blue Ridge Country Club, Palmerton; Lehighton Elks Lodge, and Palmerton's Bowling and American Legion Bowling associations.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Ronald A. and Thomas R.J., both of Pottstown, and Robert L. of De Kalb, Ill.; daughter, Sandra L. of Whitehall Township; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church. No calling hours. Arrangements, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton.
