Emily P. (Holbrook) Johnson was a daughter of Dexter and Jerusha Pomeroy who came to Ohio from Vermont in 1835. The family lived in Elyria, Lorain County, Ohio where they had a fruit farm. Emily married Thomas Stanley Johnson, of Wooster, Ohio on September 13, 1853. They had children:
Stella M. (Johnson) Goodwillie, Edwin T. Johnson, Ida E. (Johnson) Latshaw.
