Mannow A. DeLong, 84, a life-long resident of the Dayton neighborhood, died after a two-year illness at his home at 3:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, March 19. Born in Lehigh county, Pennsylvania, he came to Indiana as a child. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, a director of the Dayton bank, and a charter member of the Knights of Pythias lodge at Dayton.
Surviving are the widow, the former Artie Durham, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Moyer of Lafayette route 4. Mrs. DeLong recently left a Lafayette hospital after recovering from a fall from a ladder in the barn at their farm.
Funeral services were held this afternoon (Friday) at the Baker funeral home in Dayton, with the Rev. C. P. Blekking, pastor of the Dayton Memorial Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment was in the Dayton cemetery.
