Tommy was my cousin, but I never knew him, since he passed away four years before I was born. My Mom told me that he was a beautiful, well-loved little boy.
Obituary from a local newspaper, probably the Winslow Dispatch :
George Thomas Nelson, eight-year-old son of Glen and Joy Gardner Nelson, died Wednesday at 2 p.m. at their home in Winslow. He became seriously ill five years ago with a brain disease and had been in Barnes Hospital twice where they told the parents when the nerve to the heart was affected he would die suddenly. This he did while his father was feeding him. He had been worse the past week.
The body is at the Curtis Funeral Home. Date and hour of the funeral are pending. Rev. W.D. Rich and Rev. J.V. Smith will officiate.
