Peggy Eileen Harrigan passed away Dec. 7, 2007, at the Beehive Homes of natural causes. She was 67 years old.

Peggy was born Aug. 30, 1940, in Wallace, Idaho, to LaVonne and Errol Harrigan. She was their only child. The family lived all over the Northwest. She attended high school in Hot Springs where she met her best friend, Pauline and also her future husband.

On Dec. 1, 1956, she married Norman Carey. They had two daughters, Melody and Laurie. She worked as a waitress at various restaurants in Missoula her entire life. She and Norman divorced in 1977.

Due to illness, she has spent the last several years in nursing care, residing at Village Health Care Center, Hunter's Glen and finally at Beehive Homes.

Peggy is survived by her daughters, Melody and husband John Bryan, Laurie and husband Gregg Jones; her grandchildren, Tricia and husband David Owens, Tiffany and husband Hakon Roose, Chad Hill and Jessica Hill; her great-granddaughters, Rylee and Ashlee Owens. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Eileen Carey and her best friend, Pauline Massey.

A special thanks to Vicki Robeson and Jayne Lux, social workers and her hab-aid, and good friend, Kathy Hoveland, Dr. Caldwell and most importantly, the staff and residents of BeeHive Homes, House No. 1.
