Mr. Heckaman died Saturday, June 10 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after a six-week confinement. A farmer, he resided in Bremen route two.
He was born, February 7, 1907, to Howard and Mary Penrose Heckaman and was married October 3, 1931 to Esther Eslinger.
Mr. Heckaman survives with a son, Clark of Lakeville; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Bope of Bremen; two brothers, Welcome of Mentone and Robert of Milford; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Ellis and Mrs. Harvey Miller, both of Bremen; and two grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Glant Funeral Home in Bremen to lie in state until the funeral in the chapel there. Rev. Raleigh C. Walker officiated, and burial was in Bremen cemetery.
