He was born in Rhein Phaltz, Bayern, Germany. Originally settled in Cokeville, Westmoreland County, PA. Moved to Oakmont, PA by 1900. PA Death Certificate indicates that he was buried in Oakmont-Verona Cemetery. His wife, Katherine (Kate) is listed as the informant. It is not known if there is a headstone for Charles. Katherine moved to Gary, Indiana after his death. All of their children, except for Henry Jacob (d.1907), moved to Gary, Indiana.
