Angelo A. Mongelli, 90, of Towaco, peacefully passed away at home on October 8, 2021. Born in Molfetta, Italy, Angelo migrated at the age of 17 to Ingeniero White, Bahia Blanca, Argentina where he met and married his beloved wife and started his family in the home he built for his parents and siblings. In 1961 he migrated to the USA and began the move of his wife children, parents and brothers to Union City NJ, and in 1976 to Wallington NJ. He had been a mason for over 60 years and member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Local 4 NJ Region II. Angelo was a skilled contractor, gardener, brick layer. He proudly designed and built a home for his wife, daughter, husband and grandchildren in Towaco in 1996. He was a man of deep honor, passion, loyalty and commitment to his wife and family and forever grateful for the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Angelo is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Elsa Mongelli (nee: Tortosa). Loving father to his daughter Rita Angione and her husband Sergio, of Towaco, NJ and his son Fred Mongelli and his wife Michele of Fairfield, NJ. Adoring grandfather to Alicia N. Angione and her fiancée Louis Sibio, Nicholas P. Angione and his wife Amy Lynn, Whitney Mongelli, Dominique Forte and her husband Mike. Angelo is also survived by his siblings, brother Julio Mongelli, brother Vito Mongelli and his wife Antoinette, and brother Pasquale Mongelli and his wife Serafina. As well as loving nieces and great niece and great nephews. Angelo was predeceased by his beloved infant daughter Rita Emma Mongelli.
