Son of Titus Blyden (b 22 Feb 1898, d 16 Dec 1987 in St Thomas, BVI) and Rosita Eglartine (nee Barry, b 01 Mar 1909 in Tortola, British Virgin Islands/Western Sahara, d 02 Mar 1990) Blyden; Rosita's parents were Chadreck Barry and Frances (nee McTavos) Barry. Elvyn Anselmo Blyden, 81, of Madison, Alabama, left us to be with our heavenly father on Friday, November 06, 2020. He was born February 05, 1939, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, son of the late Titus and Rosita Blyden. He is preceded in death by his brother Leroy Blyden, sisters Yvonne Eunice Blyden Moolenaar and Marion Watson.
Elvyn was a long-time resident of Madison, Alabama. He served honorably in the United States Air Force for 26-years as Senior Master Sergeant, as well as a 24-year retiree of Lockheed Martin Corporation. He enjoyed spending time at church with his loving wife Lila and his seven children. He also enjoyed listening to Jazz music, R and B, Crossword puzzles, playing Bejeweled, watching football, and spending time with his entire family. His proudest accomplishment was serving as a deacon while holding his membership in the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ).

He is survived by his loving wife, Leonila (Lila) Blyden of 58 years, and his seven children, Jeanette Blyden, Michelle Blyden and (H) James Mitchell; Fred Blyden and (W) Nerma; Michael Blyden and (W) Missy; Robert Blyden and (W) Tamara; Barbara Ems and (H) Robert and Sheila Schofill and (H) Harrison.
He is also survived by 24 Grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren.
