1) Administrator's Bond - [This record indicates Morris Allen died before 2 Mar 1857 in Clay County, KY]:
Whereas I, Rachael Allen have been appointed, by the County Court of Clay County, Administratrix of Morris Allen deceased, intestate … signed this 2 day of Mar 1857 by Rachael [her mark] Allen and E. [Elijah] W. Robertson.

2) Dower of Rachel Allen [Widow of Morris Allen] - 22 March 1865 - [Kentucky dower rights law entitles a surviving spouse to a portion of a deceased spouse's real property when they die.]
We as Commissioners, to lay off the dower of Rachel Allen, have alloted [sic] to her the place known as the KITTY PLACE, commencing at the corner of A. Combs and then up the South Fork to the upper ford of the above named place oppisit [sic] the Rocky Branch and then to the top of the Pilot Knob Mountain, thence with the dividing with A. Combs line to the beginning.
